Collecting Data

Data collected can be shared in real time between Crisis Track’s mobile application and desktop (web) application. The application works with the Geographic Information System (GIS), and can automatically capture field user locations via the mobile app.

The application works both on and offline allowing users to download data to the mobile app that can be used when connectivity is limited. This offline capability also allows you to track data while offline, so that you can upload it later when Wi-Fi or cell service is available again.

Ensure that you log in and start your session while connected to the internet, and do not log out or close the app when offline, to ensure that data can be correctly uploaded later.

Forms used to collect data in the field are aligned with federal, state, and local requirements, and are pre-populated with information from local tax assessor data. Additionally, mobile app users are tracked by their location for safety and accountability.
