U.S. Text Message Change

Starting on July 15, 2025 in the United States, the following text messages (“SMS”) from EMResource will be delivered from a short code (85079) designed for high-volume text messaging:

  • Text Alerts: Faster, more reliable alerts from a trusted number

  • Consent and Info Messages: Streamlined opt-in and message delivery

  • Unsubscribing: Simple opt-out using keywords like “STOP”

This change does not affect voice alerts, which still use the same phone number (+1 (877) 352-9726).

A short code is a 5-digit number used for high-volume text messaging. It is commonly employed to send alerts and updates quickly to large audiences. Compared to standard phone numbers (also known as “long codes”), short codes are easier to recognize, less likely to be blocked by mobile providers, and better suited for delivering critical information.

To receive messages as expected, ensure that the 85079 short code number is not blocked on receiving devices and that the number is not listed in spam filtering applications, such as ActiveArmor or Call Filter.

Juvare also recommends creating a contact on your device for the 85079 number. When receiving the first message from this number, provide consent to receive further messages by texting START.

This update will improve message deliverability, enhance the user experience, and support compliance. If you have additional questions, please contact your Client Success Manager (CSM).
