Create a Catchment Region
If you have the Catchment Areas premium feature and the appropriate permissions, you can create a catchment region. To set up automatic status changes, you must create both a catchment region and a catchment area.
By default, you can only create one catchment region. To create additional catchment regions, contact your Client Success Manager (CSM).
To create a catchment region

In the main menu, click Setup and select Catchment Regions. The Catchment Regions page opens.

Click Setup Catchment in Region. The Create Catchment Region page opens.

Description
Active
Inactive catchment regions will not run automatic status changes. Deactivating a catchment region does not delete it.
Status Type
Status type that determines which statuses you can select for this catchment region.
Select statuses that activate catchment
Resource statuses that automatically change when the status threshold is met.
Select statuses that activate catchment but will not change
Resource statuses that count toward the status threshold, but are not changed when the threshold is met.
Area's Status Threshold %
Activation threshold for the automatic status change.
Status during activation
Status that resources gain when the status threshold is met.
Activation Minutes
Duration of the automatic status change.
Status after activation ends
Status that resources gain after the activation minutes end. This status cannot be the same as any other status associated with this catchment region.
