Hospital Bed Capacity

EMResource can collect and submit bed capacity to the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). To participate in NHSN Data Submission through EMResource, contact your Client Success Manager (CSM).
Set Up Resources for Data Submission
After NHSN Data Submission is enabled for your region, you can set up a resource to submit bed capacity by configuring the following statuses. Bed capacity will not be sent for a resource until all three statuses are properly configured.
Status type names are configured by region and so may differ in your region. The status types shown in the table below of examples of what you might find.

Identifies the resource with a 5-digit number assigned by NHSN. |

Reporting Context |
Indicates the type of resource, such as a hospital or a specific facility within a hospital. Hospitals have a reporting context of HOSP. |

HBC Participation |
Determines whether EMResource will send the Hospital Bed Capacity to the NHSN for the hospital. |
Submission Periods
EMResource sends bed capacity to NHSN every hour on the hour.
