Set Up the Business Continuity Boards Industry Board icon

Industry boards require a license key to import. Once they are imported, they cannot be exported. Contact your Client Success Manager (CSM) for more information.

The Business Continuity Management Program (BCMP) Solution Set addresses specific use cases across industries, in conjunction with the standard boards. For more information, see the Business Continuity Management Board overview and watch the Juvare Training Center video.

These boards are available for download, but you must have a license key.

To set up the boards

  1. Import the board.

  2. Create a feature group and assign the board to the feature group for user access. When you add or edit the board for a feature group, enter the following information:

    Default Label

    The name for the board as you want it to appear on the Boards menu.

    Any combination of up to 200 alphanumeric characters, excluding special characters.

    Input

    The view that allows you to add records to the board.

    Assign input views through board permissions; set this field to None.

    Select None.

    Display

    The view that displays when a board is opened.

    Select one assignable display view as defined below.

    Device Type

    The type of device the board is intended for display on.

    Select one of the following options:

    • Desktop

    • Mobile

    • Desktop and Mobile

    View Filters

    The filters that determine what data is visible on the board.

    Unlike the filter/search feature that you can add to a board to help you find data, the view filters limit the visibility of data.

    If applicable, select a filter according to the board specifications.

    Board Permissions Tags

    The actions that feature group members can perform on the board.

    Select one or more permissions according to the board specifications.

  4. Click Save.

Audit and Compliance

Display Standards - A list of the audit and compliance standards that are checked.

Allows users to:

  • Audit Participant - Perform edits for any of the assigned positions.

  • Create Evaluation Mark - Evaluate marks for use within the audit.

  • Create Standard - Create standards for audits to be performed.

  • Delete Evaluation Mark - Delete evaluation marks from a standard.

  • Delete Participant - Delete participant audits.

  • Delete Standard - Delete standards.

  • Edit Evaluation Mark - Edit existing evaluation marks.

  • Edit Standard - Edit existing standards.

Users do not need to be assigned the Audit Participant permission to perform audits. If they are assigned an audit, they can perform the audit for their currently logged in position on the board.

Business Continuity Management

  • List - BIA - Displays Business Impact Analyses and the BCM tabs accessible based on your permissions.

  • List - BIA Published - Displays the published and approved Business Impact Analyses.

  • Mapping - Dependencies - Displays a hierarchical chart showing relationships between dependencies and subdependencies.

  • Dashboard - Dependencies - Displays the Operational Impact Analysis Tool, which is used to identify activity dependencies for systems, vendors, and locations.

Allows users to:

Admin - Provide administrator approval, setup options, and view all records in a read-only state.

Auditor - Provide departmental approval, department section setup, and read-only viewing.

Coordinator - Create and update records, send for approval, and view department records.

Delete - Delete child records (such as assigned vital systems and dependencies) from a BIA.

Delete BIA - Delete BIAs.

Publish BIA - Publish a BIA once fully approved.

View Reports - View the Reports tab.

Training and Exercise Tracker

  • List - Displays all courses (past, present, and future).

  • List Exercises - Displays all exercises (past, present, and future).

  • List Students - Displays a list of active and inactive students.

  • Calendar - Displays the course calendar.

  • Delete - Delete course records.

  • Delete Student - Delete student records.
