Enable the Blink PDF Engine on a Board
The Blink PDF engine provides more accurate CSS rendering, ES6+ JavaScript support, and additional layout controls not available in the standard engine. To enable it, add the engine="blink" attribute to the <pdflink> tag in your board's display view.
This feature is available in any version of WebEOC Nexus.
Enable Blink
Add engine="blink" to your existing <pdflink> tag, as in this example:
<pdflink engine="blink">Export to PDF</pdflink>
This change must be applied to each board individually.
Server-side configuration is managed by Juvare. No infrastructure changes are required on your end.
Control Page Size
This feature is available in WebEOC Nexus 10.17 and later.
Use the pagesize attribute to set the output paper size, as in this example:
<pdflink engine="blink" pagesize="letter">Export to PDF</pdflink>
Supported values include letter, legal, 11x17, a0–a10, b0–b5, and others.
Control Page Orientation
Use these tags to set portrait or landscape orientation for sections of a PDF.
To wrap content to set orientation with page breaks, follow this example:
<blinkpdfportrait>
<!-- content rendered in portrait -->
</blinkpdfportrait>
<blinkpdflandscape>
<!-- content rendered in landscape -->
</blinkpdflandscape>
To set orientation for the current page without inserting a page break:
<blinkportraitmarker/>
<blinklandscapemarker/>
Force a Page Break
Place <blinkforcepagebreak/> at the point in your board where you want a page break to occur:
<blinkforcepagebreak/>
Test PDF Render
Switching to Blink may affect how existing board PDFs render. After updating a board, verify the output by generating a test PDF with representative data and checking:
-
CSS styles and layout
-
Fonts
-
Page breaks and content flow
