Import and Export Equipment
In the Equipment Inventory module, you can import equipment in bulk from a CSV or XLS spreadsheet file. This lets you add new equipment and update existing equipment in Crisis Track. You can also export a list of your equipment from Crisis Track to an XLS spreadsheet file, editable in Excel®.
To import equipment in bulk

Obtain a spreadsheet from your equipment management system.

On the upper left, click Add and select Upload CSV or XLS. The Upload page opens explaining the types of equipment information you can upload.

On the lower half of the page, click Download XLS Template or Download CSV Template to download the template with your preferred file format.

Open the downloaded template with spreadsheet software, such as Excel, then merge the information you obtained from your equipment management system into the Crisis Track template.

Save the updated template file to your computer.

In Crisis Track near the bottom of the Upload page, click Select File. Select and upload the updated template file. A window opens listing the equipment that will be added or updated.

Review the list of equipment for any issues. Update and reupload the file as needed.
The system differentiates what to update and what to add as new by searching and matching Asset numbers. When a match is found, an equipment item's information is updated with the new information from the new spreadsheet you just loaded.
If a match is not found, an equipment item will be added as a new item. -
Click Save Equipment. Your equipment inventory is updated.
To export the equipment inventory
On the upper left, click Export and select Excel. An XLS file with details about your equipment is downloaded.
