Assign a Team to a Task in an Incident

Crisis Track allows you to create teams and assign them to tasks.

  • A Task is an activity that you assign to a team: conduct a damage assessment in a certain area, clear road closures, or complete a group of tasks.

  • Teams are a group of personnel and equipment assigned to tasks. Several tasks can be assigned to one team. However, only one team can be assigned to a task.

Using the Tasks module in the Incident Functions, you can assign available teams to your existing tasks. You can also assign a team while creating a new task.

Method 1: Assign a team while creating a new task

  1. Follow the instructions to Create an Incident Task.

  2. In the Assign field, select the desired team from the list.

  3. Click Save.

Method 2: Assign a team to an existing task

  1. In the Task module, find the task to which you want to assign a team in the tasks list.

  2. In the Team column for that task row, click the team menu and select a team from the list.

  3. Confirm that you would like to assign the selected team to the task.
