Ad Hoc Alerts

Ad Hoc Alerts is part of the opt-in features, which are not used by some clients.

Ad Hoc Alerts is a premium feature that gives you more options for sending notifications. Without Ad Hoc Alerts, you can automatically send notifications related to incidents as described in Notifications. With Ad Hoc Alerts, you can send notifications to accounts, organizations, and groups at any time.Notifications are the alert, update, advisory, information, drill, and test messages (for example) that you send and receive through delivery methods such as email, voice, text, fax, and Inbox.

Notifications sent through the solution appear in your Inbox. Notifications that you send to other people are stored on the Sent tab. The tabs marked Drafts and Templates allow you to store notifications that are not yet complete and reuse notifications drafted for certain situations. By default, notifications within these tabs are listed in reverse chronological order, with the most recent notification at the top.

These are the notification tabs.

  • Inbox: Lists internal notifications sent and received through your solution.

  • Inbox Archived: Lists Inbox notifications that you decided to archive.

  • Sent: Lists notifications you or someone else in your organization sent on behalf of themselves, the organization, or the solution.

  • Sent Archived: Lists notifications that you sent and decided to archive.

  • Drafts: Lists notifications you or someone else in your organization created and saved but have not yet been sent.

  • Templates: Lists notifications you, someone in your organization, or someone in an associated organization created, saved, and possibly shared for quick reuse in a given situation.
