eICS 5.2 Release Notes
These notes describe enhancements and resolutions introduced in the eICS 5.2 release scheduled for Wednesday, June 26, 2024. More information is available through the help in your solution or by contacting the Juvare Support Center at +1 (877) 771-0911 or support@juvare.com.
Opt-In Features
Clients can opt in to access new features to manage contacts, share files, and send notifications. If have not opted in, these features are not visible in eICS and do not affect you yet. For more information, see Opt-In Features.
The following notes describe enhancements to these opt-in features.
-
The Documents page is renamed to File Library. This better conveys the purpose of the page because you can share any file type, not just documents.
-
The Accounts, Groups, File Library, and Ad-Hoc Alerts pages are now available on the mobile app.
Improved Login Page
The eICS login page is visually upgraded and now displays a Forgot Password? link.
New Contact Requirement
If you are already using the opt-in features described above, then these changes do not affect you. You add accounts instead of directly adding contacts, and accounts already required a login email.
All contacts now require a login email. When you add a contact, you must add a login email. You can still prevent a contact from logging in by setting Allowed to log in to No.
If an existing contact does not have a login email, you must deactivate that contact and add a new contact with a login email. The easiest way to do this is with the Contact Template. See To change a login email in Manage Contacts with the Template.
Also, you can no longer add or edit contacts in an incident through the ICS Chart or Contacts pages. Now, you can only add or edit contacts through the Contacts page in the Planning menu.
Enhancements and Resolutions
-
Update Status Reminders: Previously, every time you viewed an active incident that you were a candidate for, a window appeared reminding you to update your User Status. This window disrupted the workflow, so it has been removed. When you need to update your User Status, you can still do so by clicking Update Status.
-
Event Logs: In event logs, when you click the Created By column header to sort entries alphabetically, resolved an issue that prevented the entries from sorting correctly.
