Catchment Areas

The Catchment Areas premium feature is used to automatically change resource statuses when certain conditions are met.

To set up automatic status changes, a regional administrator with the appropriate permissions must create a catchment region and a catchment area. A catchment region defines settings related to the status change, such as which statuses you want to change, what triggers the change, and the duration of the change. A catchment area identifies the group of resources involved in the status change.

For example, you may want to create a catchment region that automatically change hospitals from a Diversion status to an Open But Full status. You could configure this change to happen after 80% of hospitals in a catchment area gain the Diversion status.
