Check the Status of Hospital Respiratory Data

After entering Hospital Respiratory Data (HRD), you can check the submission status of this data by viewing the Last Reporting Result status for resources in the appropriate view or event. This status is automatically updated based on information from EMResource and the CDC, and it may have the following values.

As status type Custom fields that track information about resources. This is region-specific and are unique fields. names can be configured by region, the Last Reporting Provides specific information about statuses and details, notifications, forms, templates, snapshots, and roles/rights in EMResource. Result status name may not match in your configuration. Some examples of similar naming conventions are "HHS: Last Reporting Result", "NHSN Last Reporting Result", or "HHS/CDC Last Reporting Result".

Value Description

Submitted

The HRD for this resource was submitted during the last submission period.

EMResource submits the HRD to NHSN at 4:30 PM Eastern Time, and it takes up to a few hours for the CDC to send back information about errors and warnings. Therefore, a status may change from Submitted to Error or Warning shortly after the submission time. If several hours have passed since the submission time and the status is Submitted, the HRD was likely accepted with no errors or warnings.

Not Submitted

The HRD for this resource was not submitted during the last submission period. The error message from the CDC will be displayed as a comment for this status.

  • None of the 55 HRD fields have been updated. EMResource checks for updates from the past 24 hours for the daily reporting frequency or the past nine days for the weekly reporting frequency.

  • The HHS/CDC Org ID is not a 5-digit number.

  • The HHS/CDC Reporting Context has not been set.

Error

The CDC received the HRD during the last submission period, but they detected an error and did not accept the HRD. The error message from the CDC is displayed as a comment on the resource's row.

Warning

The CDC received the HRD during the last submission period.The warning message from the CDC is displayed as a comment on the resource's row. Currently, there are no known warnings, but the CDC may add warnings in the future.

Either the resource has not been configured to submit HRD or the resource was recently configured to submit HRD and has not yet reached the first submission period.
