EMResource 4.23.2 Release Notes

These notes describe updates in the EMResource 4.23.2 release scheduled for Monday, October 21, 2024. More information is available through the help in your solution or by contacting the Juvare Support Center at +1 (877) 771-0911 or support@juvare.com.

This release is only relevant to clients who use EMResource to submit National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) data.

Support for Hospital Respiratory Data

You can now upload data saved in the CDC's Hospital Respiratory Data templates through bulk upload or the Automated Data Uploader. To download these templates or learn more about them, see Hospital Respiratory Data on the CDC's website.

Hospital Respiratory Data reporting is in a testing period from October 9 to October 31. We are working directly with the CDC to resolve issues during this period. Please be aware of the following issues and resolutions.

  • The CDC is planning to increase the maximum value for fields related to bed capacity and occupancy from 1,500 to 2,500. If values for these fields exceed 1,500, that data cannot be submitted to NHSN until after the maximum value increases.

  • Clients do not need to designate Daily or Weekly reporting in NHSN. You only need to designate Daily or Weekly in the HHS: Reporting Frequency field in the appropriate EMResource view or event.

  • The previous COVID-19 validation rules are no longer used and have been deactivated.

  • Two issues related to the CDC's implementation documentation were resolved for most clients. If any action is needed, your Client Success Manager (CSM) will reach out to you.

    • If a value in the Days on Hand Supply fields includes a greater-than sign (>), a space must be included between the sign and the following number (for example, "> 30").

    • Optional PPE fields for MAINTAIN (such as N95, Gowns, or Gloves) should use a value of "NA" instead of "N/A."
