Manage Board Resources

You can add and manage the resources available on a board. Such resources can include PDFs, animated elements, code, images, links, logos, and more. For more information about using board resources, see Boardresource Attribute.

There are two types of board resources: global and local.

Global Board Resources

Global board resources are reusable files that multiple boards can use. For example, a logo or a department seal can be shared as a global resource and reused across multiple boards. You could also use a global board resource to reference a particular version of the Bootstrap framework to use in code.

To view and upload global board resources

  1. Access the Admin View.

  2. In the main menu, click the workflows icon workflows icon. The Workflows page opens.

  3. On the Boards tab, click the Actions button and select View Board Resources. The Global Board Resources page opens.

  4. Click the Create File button. The Board Resources: Create Board Resource page opens.

  5. Click the Choose File button to browse for the resource.

  6. Enter information in the Description field as needed.

  7. Click Save.

This resource can now be referenced for use in any board in your instance.

Global resource files that are referenced in a board are exported and published with the board. The recipient, either someone importing the board or a  WebEOC Fusion subscriber, sees the board resources referenced on your board in their global resources.

Local Board Resources

To view and upload local board resources

  1. Access the Admin View.

  2. In the main menu, click the workflows icon workflows icon. The Workflows page opens.

  3. On the Boards tab, click the board name to add the resource.

  4. In the Resources section, click the Manage Resources button. The Local Board Resources page opens.

  5. Click the Create File button. The Board Resources: Create Board Resource page opens.

  6. Click the Choose File button to browse for the resource.

  7. Enter information in the Description field as needed.

  8. Click Save.

Importing Board Resources

When you import a board resource, if it is the same as a global resource that already exists, WebEOC Nexus is configured to recognize this duplication. If you import a resource that is different from a global resource, WebEOC Nexus categorizes the new import with the local board resources. When using the boardresource attribute, the system looks first at local board resources, followed by global board resources, to prevent board resources from being overwritten as boards are shared and published.
