Embed Map Component

Embed Map Component

The Embed Map component allows you to drag a focused map on the canvas. These maps help you visualize geo-located data. If there is location data, the location is rendered on the map.

The Embed Map component is supported in the List view, Details view, and Dashboard view (DesignStudio Pro).

The following settings are available.

Field Description Procedure

Id

A unique identifier that briefly describes the component in the user interface.

Enter between 2 - 50 alphanumeric characters, excluding special characters.

Map Name

The name of the map.

Enter between 2 - 50 alphanumeric characters, excluding special characters.

Height

The height of the map.

On the canvas, you can use the handles to modify the height.

Do either of the following actions.

  • On the canvas, drag the handles to enlarge or condense the size.

  • In the Embed Map Settings window, enter the height. By default, DesignStudio enters the height in pixels. To use percentages, enter the percentage sign after the number, without spaces (for example, 100%).

    This field does not display in Dashboard view.

Width

The width of the map.

On the canvas, you can use the handles to modify the width.

Do either of the following actions.

  • On the canvas, drag the handles to enlarge or condense the size.

  • In the Embed Map Settings window, enter the width. By default, DesignStudio enters the width in pixels. To use percentages, enter the percentage sign after the number, without spaces (for example, 100%).

    This field does not display in Dashboard view.

Enable Header

Displays a header above the map.

Select the checkbox to enable the option.

Settings Icon

Settings

Displays the Embed Map Settings window, in which you can modify the map's ID, name, width, and height. You can also determine if the map has a header.

  1. In Design mode, in a Dashboard view, click the component on the canvas. A toolbar appears on the top right.

  2. Click the Settings icon.

  3. Modify the fields as needed.

  4. Click Done.
Move Icon

Move

Moves the map to another position on the board.

This option is currently not available.

 
Copy Icon

Copy

Copies the current map and its settings and pastes it after the current map.

  1. In Design mode, in a Dashboard view, click the component on the canvas. A toolbar appears on the top right.

  2. Click the Copy icon.

  3. In the Embed Map Settings window, modify the details, as needed.

  4. Click Done. The new map is inserted after the original map.
Delete Icon

Delete

Deletes the current map.

Click the Delete icon.
