Edit a Filter

You can edit any filter Search criteria that allow you to pinpoint the clients and details you need. you have created.

You can also copy a filter to use as a foundation for a new filter. This can be a filter you own or one that is shared with you. Copying a filter involves the same steps as detailed below for editing a filter except that you will only have the option to Save As, when saving the filter. This allows you to save your changes to the existing filter under a new filter name for which you are the owner.

To edit a filter

  1. Click the Filters tab.

  2. In the left pane, click the Find Filters link. A window opens.

  3. Select the appropriate tab:

    • My Filters - The filters you have created.

    • Your division or region - If you are an administrator, you have access to division-level filters and these appear in a tab labeled with the division's name. Any administrator at this division can edit these filters.

    • All - All filters that are available to you, including the ones you have created, those available to your division (if you are an administrator), and those that have been shared with you.

  4. Click the filter you want to edit. The window closes and the Filters tab shows the existing search terms for this filter.

  5. Click Search.

  6. Add or edit any columns that you want to set for your own filter, following the steps in Specify and order columns.

  7. Click Refine Search to add or change the search criteria of the filter then click Search again. Repeat as needed.

  8. Click Save, or Save As if you are copying/editing a filter that is not your own. Follow the steps in Name, share, and save your filter for more information.

If you have the appropriate role, you can include archived and deleted clients in your search.
