Configure Ad Hoc Alerts with Contacts

Contacts is a premium feature included with the Ad Hoc Alerts plug-in that allows you to manage people such as leaders, certain facility staff, and community partners who do not have accounts in Unified Command Platform but need to be notified about critical situations. Contacts is used by the Ad Hoc Alerts plug-in. See Ad Hoc Alerts for more details.
Non-Unified Command Platform users are added and maintained in Contacts. Unified Command Platform and Unified Command Platform users are added and maintained in the Admin View.
Notification Groups
With Contacts, you have access to Notification Groups. Notification groups allow you to create groups. These groups can include Unified Command Platform users and external recipients.
Sending Ad Hoc Alerts through a notification group is an efficient way of sending to multiple users. When you send an Ad Hoc Alert to more than one recipient, you can save time by selecting a notification group, instead of selecting each individual account.
Organizations
Another feature of Contacts is Organizations. Used with the Ad Hoc Alerts plug-in, Organizations allow you to group and manage your Unified Command Platform users and contact details. Organizations help you manage contacts based on the departments, agencies, and/or sub-organizations to which your contacts belong.
Access Contacts
