To set up the Elections Management Board

Create a feature group and assign the board to the feature group for user access.

When you add or edit the board for a feature group, enter this information.

Create Event Log - Allows you to create event log records related to any precinct.

Create Event Log Limited - Allows you to create event log records related only to assigned precincts.

Create Precinct - Allows you to create precinct records, edit read-only fields such as precinct, location, name, and address, and assign precinct records.

Create Request - Allows you to create request records related to any precinct.

Create Request Limited - Allows you to create request records related only to assigned precincts.

Delete - Allows you to delete any precinct, request, or event log record.

Export to Excel - Allows you to export data to Excel from any list view (requires Board Data Manager).
This is a standard feature on many boards and is not usually permissioned. It has been permissioned in this case due to the potentially sensitive nature of some of the information in this board.

Import Precincts - Allows you to import precinct data from the Precinct List view (requires Board Data Manager).

Settings - Allows you to access to the settings page

Update Ballot Totals - Allows you to edit ballot totals fields as part of precinct records. This must be used in conjunction with "View Ballot Totals".

Update Event Log - Allows you to edit any event log entry.

Update Event Log Limited - Allows you to edit only event log entries related to assigned precincts.

Update Precinct - Allows you to edit any precinct record.

Update Precinct Limited - Allows you to edit only assigned precinct records.

Update Request - Allows you to edit any request record.

Update Request Limited - Allows you to edit only request records that were either related to an assigned precinct, created by your position, or assigned to your position.

Update Wait Times - Allows you to update the wait times of any precinct.

Update Wait Times Limited - Allows you to update the wait times only of assigned precincts.

View Ballot Totals - Allows you to access the "Totals" tab. This must be selected for a user to be able to view and/or update ballot totals.

Click Save.

Select one of the following options: If Precinct List is assigned, it is available along with the other views that appear as tabs within the board. If any view other view is assigned, it is the only view available to the user. |

View Filters | Determines what data is visible on the board. Unlike the filter/search feature that can be added to a board, which helps you find data, the view filters limit the visibility of the data. |
