Set Up the Facility Status with WeatherOptics Board Add on board icon

The Facility Status with WeatherOptics Board provides critical insight to better prepare people, property, and businesses for severe weather.

To set up the Facility Status with WeatherOptics Board

  1. Import the board.

  2. Create a feature group and assign the board to the feature group for user access.

  3. When adding or editing the board for a feature group, enter this information.

    Field Description

    Default Label

    The name for this board as you want it to appear in the menu. Use any combination of up to 200 alphanumeric characters, excluding special characters.

    Input

    The view, which allows you to add records to the board, that you want to assign to the feature group.

    Input views are typically assigned using board permissions and this field's value is None.

    Display

    The view, which appears when a board is opened, that you want to assign to the feature group. These are the options.

    • List

    • List - Insights

    • Dashboard

      If you directly assign the List - Insights view without also assigning the View - Facilities permission, operational status fields will be hidden to avoid displaying sensitive data to those without access.

    Device Type

    Indicates the type of device on which the board is primarily intended for display. These are the options.

    • Desktop

    • Mobile

    • Desktop and Mobile

    View Filters

    Determines what data is visible on the board. Unlike the filter and search feature that can be added to a board to help find data, the view filters limit the visibility of the data.

    Board Permissions Tags

    Identifies what actions people can perform on the board. These are the options.

    • Create: They can create facility records.

    • Update: They can edit facility records.

    • Delete: They can delete facility records.

    • View - Facilities: They can view facilities' operational statuses. If this permission is not assigned, operational status fields are hidden to avoid displaying sensitive data to those without access.

  5. Click Save.
