Date/Time Component Nexus Component Styling

The Date/Time component inserts a date and time field on the canvas.

The Date/Time component is supported in the Input view and is found in the Data Entry section of the Components tray.

Settings

The following settings are available.

Date/Time settings
Field	Description	Procedure
Label	A unique identifier that briefly describes the component in the user interface.	Enter between 2 - 50 alphanumeric characters, excluding special characters.
DB Field Name	A unique identifier that briefly describes the component in the database table. The text in this field becomes the database field name.	Enter between 2 - 50 alphanumeric characters, excluding special characters.
Export Label	The label added to this field when data from the board is exported.	Enter between 2 - 50 alphanumeric characters, excluding special characters.

The following style options are available.

Field	Description	Procedure
Default Text	The text that displays in the field when dropped onto the canvas.	Enter between 2 - 50 alphanumeric characters, excluding special characters.
Max Character Count	The maximum number of characters a user can enter in this field.	Enter the number.
Help Text	The tooltip that appears when the pointer is over the field.	Enter between 2 - 50 alphanumeric characters, excluding special characters.
Required	Adds a red asterisk to the end of the label indicating that the field is mandatory.	Turn the toggle to on to indicate the field is required.
Placeholder	The content of the date field when it is dropped onto the canvas.	Enter between 2 - 50 alphanumeric characters, excluding special characters.
Minimum Date & Time	The earliest valid date and time a user can set using this field.	Select the earliest date and time from the date picker.
Maximum Date & Time	The latest valid date and time a user can set using this field.	Select the latest date and time from the date picker.
Disable Past Dates	Setting to restrict the user from entering past dates.	Turn the toggle on to restrict past date entry.
Disable Future Dates	Setting to restrict the user from entering future dates.	Turn the toggle on to restrict future date entry.
Default to Current Date	Sets the date in the field to the current date and time.	Turn the toggle on to set this field to use the current date and time by default.

The following Conditional settings are available.

Conditional Settings	The component only appears when certain conditions in relation to another component are met.	See Add a Conditional Component.

The following actions are available when you select any component on the canvas in the Board Workspace when working with Nexus Component Styling.

Name	Description	Procedure
Settings	Opens the Properties tab next to the Components Tray. You can modify the component’s settings, such as label, database field name, help text, style, and conditional settings.	In Design mode, click the component on the canvas. A toolbar appears on the top right. Click the Settings icon. The Properties tab displays on the right next to the Components tray. Update the settings as needed. Changes display in real time.
Move		This icon is not used. To move the component, click and drag it to its new location.
Clone	Copies the current component and its settings, then pastes it after the current component.	In Design mode, click the component on the canvas. A toolbar appears on the top right. Click the Clone icon. The Properties tab displays on the right next to the Components tray. Edit the settings for the cloned component. Changes display in real time.
Delete	Deletes the selected component.	In Design mode, click the component on the canvas. A toolbar appears on the top right. Click the Delete icon.
