Set Up the Lost and Found DS Board

To set up this board, you must set up the Venue Management board set. You must import the Venue Management boards in the order specified below using the names as indicated in the Board Name column.

Due to board dependencies, a viewlink error displays when you import the Deliveries board for the first time. To resolve the error, re-import the Deliveries board after the others.

To ensure that the board customizations work as expected:

  1. Set up the board in Unified Command Platform.

  2. Set up the board in DesignStudio.

To set up the Lost and Found DS Board in Unified Command Platform

  1. Import the board.

  2. Create a feature group and assign the board to the group for user access. When adding or editing the board for a feature group, use the following table to guide your settings configuration.

    The name for the board as you want it to appear on the Boards page.

    Any combination of up to 200 alphanumeric characters, excluding special characters.

    Input

    The view that allows you to add records to the board.

    Assign input views through board permissions; set this field to None.

    Select None.

    Display

    The view that displays when a board is opened.

    Select one of the following options:

    • List - Found Items: Users can see Found Items records.

    • List - Lost Items: Users can see Lost Items records.

    • Dashboard: Users can see a data summary of all records.

    Device Type

    The type of device the board is intended for display on.

    Select one of the following options:

    • Desktop

    • Mobile

    • Desktop and Mobile

    View Filters

    The filters that determine what data is visible on the board.

    Unlike the filter/search feature that you can add to a board to help you find data, the view filters limit the visibility of the data.

    Do not modify the filters in this setting.

    Board Permissions Tags

    The actions that group members can perform on the board.

    Select one or more of the following options:

    • Create - Lost Item: Allows the user to create a Lost Item record.

    • Create - Found Item: Allows the user to create a Found Item record.

    • Delete - Lost Item: Allows the user to delete a Lost Item Record.

    • Delete - Found Item: Allows the user to delete a Found Item record.

    • Update - Lost Item: Allows the user to update a Lost Item record.

    • Update - Found Item: Allows the user to update a Found Item record.

  4. Click Save.

To set up the Lost and Found DS Board in DesignStudio

  1. Create a new board in DesignStudio.

  2. Name the board and select your Publish Profile.

  3. To import the board, select Import From Unified Command Platform.

  4. Select your connection and Unified Command Platform board name.

  5. Customize the board as needed.

  6. Add your publish profile to the board under Board Details.

  7. Publish the board into your Unified Command Platform instance.
