Set Up Incident Creator Board Notifications 
To set up Incident Creator board notifications

In the main menu, click the workflows icon
. The Workflows page opens. -
On the Boards tab, locate and select the Incident Creator board. The Board: Edit Board opens.

In the Edit area, click Notifications. The Notifications BoardName opens with a list of Configured Notifications.

Click + Create Notification. The Notifications: BoardName page opens the page for Source configuration.

Enter this information.
Notification source configuration Field Description Valid Values Input View View on which the event that triggers the notification occurs.
Incident Input Display View View on which the notification results display. Incident Details
Event Action that causes the notification to be sent. Select one:

Create

Update
-
Create or Update
Condition Filter criteria that affect the notification trigger. As appropriate. See Configure Board Notifications for details.
Description Information and details about when or why the notification is being sent. As appropriate.

Click Next. The Schedule page opens.
- If appropriate, select the Schedule Type (for example, Immediate). See Configure Board Notifications for details.

Click Next. The Channels page opens.

For Channels, select the checkbox for all channels (for example, Email, Inbox, Text, and Voice) through which you want to send notifications.

Click Next. The Recipients page opens.

On the Recipients tab, click available sub-tabs (Recipients, Positions, Groups, Notification Groups, and Organizations) to select the checkboxes for various individuals, positions, groups, or organizations that you want to receive the notifications.

Additionally, to allow users to include options selected from the notification recipient picker on the Input View, click the Fields tab and perform steps 14-17. See <notificationrecipientspicker> for details.

In the corresponding dropdown, select the Channel.

In the Recipient Type dropdown, select Board.

In the Board Field list, select notification_recipients.

Click + Add.

Repeat these steps to add various channels and recipient types.

Click Next. The Message page opens.

Enter your message. If appropriate, use these placeholders:

Short Message: New Incident: {{incident_name}}

Long Message:

Incident Details: {{incident_activationSummary}}

Incident Type: {{incident_eventType}}

Activation Level: {{incident_activationLevel}}

Location: {{incident_location_name}}

Created By: {{username_}}

If appropriate, in the Attach Display View as PDF section, select the Create and Send PDF checkbox.

For Display View, select Incident Details.

Specify the Orientation and File Name for the PDF.

Click Save.
