Benefits Calculator
When you create or edit employees, you can use the Benefits Calculator to automatically calculate their Fringe Benefits and Overtime Benefits. The calculator helps you quickly and accurately summarize additional compensation for employees beyond their salary, which is particularly useful when completing standard disaster assistance forms.
You can open the Benefits Calculator while creating or editing employees in Crisis Track. The Benefits Calculator fields also appear in the template used to add or edit employees.
When you open the Benefits Calculator, only the Salary and Hourly Rate fields are displayed. The other fields become visible after you enter a salary or hourly rate.
When you enter data in the numeric fields on the left, it is automatically converted into a percentage of salary in the Reg % column. The Holidays, Vacation Leave, and Sick Leave fields assume 260 total workdays (5 days a week, 52 weeks a year). For example, if an employee has 26 vacation days (out of 260 workdays), the Reg % column displays this as 10%.
Fields with an OT % checkbox let you identify if the benefit applies to overtime income. If you select this checkbox, the benefit is used to calculate the Overtime Benefit. The OT % column converts each field to a percentage of the salary.
