Open Ad Hoc Alerts from Boards
Administrators and board builders can define board fields that can be used for placeholders in Ad Hoc Alerts templates. These fields are leveraged for the placeholders for new and updates to existing records. For example, Ad Hoc Alerts can be used to convey the status of facilities on boards. The status is provided by the board, along with any other placeholders you define.
When a record is created or updated in a configured board, a new checkbox is available that automatically opens a predefined template in Ad Hoc Alerts when the record is saved. The template contains the placeholder information obtained from the board. From Ad Hoc Alerts, you can edit and send the notification.
-
Launching Ad Hoc Alerts from a board requires WebEOC Nexus 10.5, WebEOC Nexus SaaS 2.5, and Ad Hoc Alerts.
-
Each board must be enabled separately by Juvare. Contact your Client Success Manager (CSM).
-
The board must be published.
-
You can create multiple templates for a board but you must have a least one template.
Setting up board fields for Ad Hoc Alerts requires that you complete the following steps:
-
Create a template with placeholder information and copy the template's URL.
-
Contact your Client Success Manager (CSM) to enable Ad Hoc Alerts for the published board and to set up the Ad Hoc Alerts board tag. Be prepared to provide the name of the board you want to enable and the template's URL.
To create the Ad Hoc Alerts template for the board
-
Follow the Create an Ad Hoc Alert procedure in the WebEOC Nexus User Help Center with the following exceptions:
-
For the Subject field, enter placeholders for the WebEOC Nexus board information that will be sent from the board to replace the placeholders in the Ad Hoc Alerts template. For example, News: ${Facility_name} is now ${status}. Use field names that have been configured for the view.
The placeholder text begins with $ and is enclosed with braces. For example, ${status}.
-
To have the placeholder information appear in the message, you can optionally copy the subject and paste it in the Messages area, along with any other content.
-
-
Complete the remaining steps, and save the message as a template. The template is saved under the Templates tab.
