Request Background Checks
As a client admin, you can request background checks for volunteers and other roles from the following locations:
-
The Accounts page.
-
The Screenings Dashboard page.
You can also access the request background check function from anywhere the account slideout appears, such as clicking on a member account in the Members pages for groups and organizations.
-
Navigate to the Accounts page, then select an account.
-
In the slideout menu, click the more options
button. -
Select Request Background Check from the menu. The Choose a Background Check type dialog displays.
-
Choose from either Manual, Standard, or Super Search, depending on which options are available to you.
-
Click Submit.
-
If there is any missing information or if consent for a background check has not been provided, you are prompted to Contact Volunteer. This sends a notification to the user asking them to provide more information or provide consent.
-
For automatic checks, a response from the vendor may take several days and this time can vary.
-
If the response is Complete: Clear, the status is automatically updated.
-
If the findings require review, the status is returned with details. The administrator needs to evaluate the findings and either resubmit (if needed, due to missing information) or manually update the status to Complete: Clear or Complete: Denied.
-
These steps can also be followed if you access the account slideout from the Screenings page.
-
Navigate to the user's profile page, then click the Background Check tab.
