Credential Verification
The solution offers credential verification to ensure that volunteers are qualified to participate in missions. The solution communicates with Credential Verification Organizations (CVOs) to verify professional credentials. Integrations with certain CVOs must be purchased and configured before use. For more information, reach out to your Client Success Manager (CSM).
Depending on the type of credentials, verification requests might take significant time to complete. The solution connects to external credential verification sources, and response times are dependent on the availability of those sources.
As an administrator, you can submit credentials for verification depending on the credential holder's system role. If someone has a system role with a higher level of access than you, you can't verify their credentials. For more information, see System Roles.
OIG Verification
Your Office of the Inspector General (OIG) verification determines your eligibility as a volunteer. This verification comes standard with the solution. OIG verifications run on volunteers' history and background to see if they have been convicted of fraud or other offenses related to healthcare delivery. If you fail the OIG Verification, you can't deploy as a volunteer.
Professional Credential Verification
You can submit credentials for verification on the Accounts page and on the Members pages for groups and organizations, and client admins can view credential verification statuses on the Screenings Dashboard page. For more information, see these topics:
Depending on the configuration of your solution and its integrations with various CVOs, credential verification is manual or automatic.
-
Manual verification is completed by an administrator.
-
Automatic verification is completed by the solution and its integrated CVOs.
