Radar / Satellite
The Radar/Sat map selection offers the following radar and satellite map layers:
The Global Radar layer tracks current wind, weather, and ocean conditions on an animated map. This map is updated frequently.
The Forecast Radar layer shows the location of precipitation, the type (rain, snow, sleet, hail), and recent movement.
The Satellite Geo layer displays the latest and most realistic view of Earth from space, as taken from weather satellites to explore various weather conditions, including wind speed.
The Satellite Infrared Color layer displays clouds temperature according to an infrared heat map. Red areas indicate hot and blue areas indicate cold.
The Satellite Infrared B/W layer displays cloud temperature, interpreted in grayscale values. Cold objects are white and hot surfaces appear black.
